Where do couples fight? Over dinner, over coffee, at a theater, over breakfast? The answer is all of these and many more but there is one time when the only argument is who gets the last piece and that is when cake is around. Hence, Fight Cake, when you are having a good knock-down drag-out fight and you tire of arguing go the fridge and pull out a cake. Once cake is introduced into the environment the dynamic changes. No longer do the bills seem to be too high, or the car too dirty, or the booze too low. There is cake and that trumps all. Suddenly the only concern is getting a utensil to eat said cake.

You may think that there are many fish in the sea but there is a limited supply of cake and you are correct. Consider this though, who many people live in your city? Half of them are women, okay how many are in your age range ± 5 years. Maybe 20% maybe. Then how many of those are not in relationships? Maybe 50%? How many of those fulfill the “deal-breakers” you’ve established (likes dogs, is a certain body type, etc.)  Now how many have other qualities you desire? Tally up how many women are left. probably not too many. So I say if the gal you have is one of those very few fish, hold onto her, she’s a catch.
